TONY HAWK'S PRO SKATER 1 + 2 Will Not Be Featuring Microtransactions; At Least Not At Launch

For those that wondered whether the recently announced Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2 would feature microtransactions we have good news, since it has been reported that it won't; at least not at launch, that is.

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2 came as a godsend, especially since the series hadn't seen a major release in quite a while, and the latest entries in the popular skateboarding series were received rather poorly by fans and players in general.

It is very fair to say that Activision and Vicarious Visions definitely hit the nail on the head by announcing this remaster in the same way they did with the critically praised Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy remaster — which successfully managed to bring back the beloved Crash Bandicoot series.

Just last week, the developers announced that Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2 would also be featuring pretty much all of the songs from both the original Tony Hawk's Pro Skater and its sequel's soundtracks — sans a small handful of tunes that didn't make the cut — which promises to give players the proper Tony Hawk's Pro Skater experience

Today new information has revealed that Activision and Vicarious Visions' Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2 will not be featuring microtransactions — although this may only be at the beginning.

According to head of VIcarious Visions Jean Oneal, in a recent interview with GameSpot, players will be able to unlock items in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2 just by playing the game, and that the game will be the complete package at launch; definitely refreshing news.

The original birdman Tony Hawk and Vicarious Visions, the studio behind the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, have come together to bring back Tony Hawk’s™ Pro Skater™ 1 and 2, radically remastered for the PlayStation® 4, PlayStation® 4 Pro, the family of Xbox One devices from Microsoft, including the Xbox One X, and on PC via Epic!

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2 will release for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC(Epic) on the 4th of September.
