Taiko no Tatsujin, the cult classic rhythm game, was
announced for consoles back in July. The game would feature two different versions depending on what console they're coming for, with
Drum Session! and
Drum 'n' Fun! coming out for the PlayStation 4 and Switch, respectively.
Today, Bandai Namco has released a gameplay trailer for
Taiko no Tatsujin: Drum 'n' Fun!, which shows off some of the multiplayer modes it will come with. What's interesting is that the game on the Nintendo Switch seems to make full use of the Joy-Con controllers, with the left and right controllers each being used as a drumstick.
Another interesting detail is that in what seems to be Versus mode, Hal Laboratory and Nintendo's very own Kirby makes an appearance as one of the players. Not only that but from what we can see from the trailer,
Splatoon themes will also be making an appearance as exclusive content for
Taiko no Tatsujin: Drum 'n' Fun!, both Kirby and Splatoon fitting right in with the
Taiko no Tatsujin aesthetic.
Taiko no Tatsujin: Drum 'n' Fun! will also be including 20 mini party games—which also seem to be very reliant on the Switch's Joy-Con controllers—for players to enjoy with their friends, which certainly adds some replay value to the famed rhythm game.
Take a look:
The cult classic is back in two different flavors! Taiko no Tatsujin: Drum Session! for the PS4 and Taiko no Tatsujin: Drum 'n' Fun! for the Nintendo Switch.
Taiko no Tatsujin: Drum Session!/Drum 'n' Fun! will be available for the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch on the 2nd of November.
