The Latest GOD EATER 3 Screenshots Reveal A New Character

Yesterday's issue of Weekly Famitsu included some new information about the upcoming JRPG God Eater 3. For the first time in the series history you'll have a chance to create and personalize your own avatar. But you won't be left alone in this brutal universe and your protagonist will be accompanied by a new friend Hugo Pennywort (who is voiced by the famous actor Tomokazu Sek [X-Men, Gravitation]). 

Femitsu revealed our second partner, Sieg Pennyworth. He loves to have fun, but he’s been separated from his two younger brothers. The second big reveal is a new Aragami named Barbarus. The basic rundown in God Eater is that the world has been ravaged and most of humanity wiped out by demonic monsters called Aragami; we used to know only two of them – the powerful and deadly Anubis and Ra.

God Eater 3 is being developed at Marvelous, a studio that gave us Soul Sacrifice, an action-adventure video game released for PlayStation Vita. The studio's lack of experience shouldn't be worrying, as God Eater 3’s staff includes Hiroshi Yoshimura and Yusuke Tomizawa who have worked on God Eater: Burst and Resurrection. Development Director Ittetsu Suzuki was also one of the directors on Soul Sacrifice.

 

All of sudden, unknown life forms called “Oracle cells” begin their uncontrolled consumption of all life on Earth.
