Meet Fassbender's new character Callum Lynch!
How does Callum fit into the magical world of Assassin's Creed? In a sense he doesn't, but his character is rather a new introduction into the Assassin's Creed world. The movie isn't retelling any of the stories from the video games, which, is both bogus and exciting. How so? Gamers have already experienced the games and their story lines. Would it be cool? Yes, but wouldn't gamers rather see something fresh and exciting? As long as it isn't a remake of Unity then everyone is fine...
After Fassbender's character Lynch discovers he is a member of a secret Assassins society. He uses unlocked memories that allow him to experience the past adventures of his ancestor, Aguilar, in 15th Century Spain. Using the knowledge and skills gained from the past he will set off to take on the Knights Templar in the present day.
