Celebrate Christmas With This Joyful New TV Spot For The ASSASSIN'S CREED Movie

As this stage, it doesn't appear as if Assassin's Creed's chances of success at the box office are looking much better than the majority of other critically panned video game movies, but if you're still on the fence about giving it a chance, the new TV spot below could very well convince you! It's clearly been put together in a way to encourage moviegoers to check it out this weekend instead of Rogue One

An original story rather than a direct take on one of the games, the movie picks up with Callum Lynch in the present after he discovers he’s a descendant of the secret Assassins society through unlocked memories that allow him to relive the adventures of his ancestor, Aguilar, in 15th Century Spain.

After gaining incredible knowledge and skills he’s poised to take on the oppressive Knights Templar in the present day. Set in the same world as the game, but just how closely tied to them it will be remains to be seen. Assassin’s Creed stars Michael Fassbender, Marion Cotillard, Michael Kenneth Williams, and Ariane Labed, and is out now in theaters.
