A new clip has been released from Assassin's Creed, and in it we're introduced to Michael Kenneth Williams' Moussa, though it appears as if his time in the Animus has left him with the belief that he's actually his ancestor Baptiste. That's an interesting wrinkle which the games have never really delved into and one which it should be fun to see how exactly it ends up impacting Callum Lynch.
An original story rather than a direct take on one of the games, the movie picks up with Callum Lynch in the present after he discovers he’s a descendant of the secret Assassins society through unlocked memories that allow him to relive the adventures of his ancestor, Aguilar, in 15th Century Spain.
After gaining incredible knowledge and skills he’s poised to take on the oppressive Knights Templar in the present day. Set in the same world as the game, but just how closely tied to them it will be remains to be seen. Assassin’s Creed stars Michael Fassbender, Marion Cotillard, Michael Kenneth Williams, and Ariane Labed, and is currently set to be released on December 21st, 2016. Are you guys excited?
