The upcoming remake of
The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening , the fourth entry in
The Legend of Zelda series released for the Game boy in the early 90s, is being developed by Japanese developer Grezzo; which is great news for fans familiar with the developer.
Grezzo is the same developer that successfully managed to remaster
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time for the Nintendo 3DS, updating the game's graphics in a way that was noticeable, but keeping everything similar enough so that it doesn't feel like a completely different game.
The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask is another title that Grezzo successfully managed to breathe new life into, in spite of some controversial decisions made to its gameplay mechanics(looking at you Deku spin dash and Zora swimming), it was still a great game that captured all of the elements of the original.
We still have to wait a few more onths until
The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening remake finally releases, but it is definitely reassuring to know that Grezzo is the studio in charge of developing and breathing new life into a game that, according to many fans of the series, is deemed one of the best titles in
The Legend of Zelda franchise.
Originally released for the Game Boy™ system more than 25 years ago, one of the most beloved games in the Legend of Zelda series returns. In this modern re-imagining, players once again return to the mysterious island of Koholint to guide Link on a perilous adventure.
The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening will be available for the Nintendo Switch on the 20th of September.
