Ever since
Metroid Prime 4 was announced during the Nintendo Direct presentation of June in 2017, fans of the series have been wanting to see more about the game; especially since all they got to see was a flying logo that revealed the game and nothing more.
Back in November of last year, Nintendo Chief Operating Officer Reggie Fils-Aimé revealed that
Metroid Prime 4 was "well in development" but didn't really say anything about any relese dates; meaning that the game could well be in very early stages of development as far as we know, but going well.
Well, the latest rumour seems to point to
Metroid Prime 4's release date being leaked by a Czech retailer named
Supergamer — which posted on their site that the game will be releasing on Friday the
29th of November in 2019. The thing about this is that it is impssible to have an official release date for the game when all we got from Nintendo was a 40 second teaser with absolutely no gameplay footage...2 years ago.
While it is true that
Metroid Prime 4 could well end up releasing this year — and even a November release date sounds like something Nintendo would do — there is no way for a retailer to have such a specific date. Again, this is all but a rumour sicne Nintendo hasn't confirmed anything about the game yet. It is likely that the date on Supergamer is only a placeholder, but it is still a very random date to pick.
We'll still have to keep waiting for Nintendo to, hopefully, give us something about
Metroid Prime 4 during the next Nintendo Direct, whenever that time comes.
