Released in June 2017 for the Nintendo Switch, Arms has performed surprisingly well, selling slightly over 2 million units in approximately one year.

Per Nintendo's new fiscal report, ARMS has sold 2.01 million copies, placing it 6th on the Nintendo Switch's all-time best-sellers list.  That's quite the feat, considering only established franchises have outsold it, with Super Mario Odyssey (11.7 million copies sold), Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (10.35 million copies sold) and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (9.3 million copies sold) taking the top 3 spots.

With the release of the sales figures, Nintendo Switch owners are clamoring for Nintendo to resume support for the title or announce that a sequel is in the works. Nintendo announced back in December that Update 5.0 would be the last for the game.  However, it appears that the title still has some legs.

If a sequel is in the works, gamers are calling for a better single-player mode and improved story.
