The Nintendo Switch event happened just last night, and during all of the festivities some new games were announced/revealed to be coming with the Switch when it would finally be released. One of those games is another entry into the Super Bomberman franchise. If you aren't familiar with the series, the game is pretty much the anti-Minesweeper in that instead of finding explosives and trying to move safely around them, you're placing bombs to blow up objectives and enemies.

This new Super Bomberman R is set to continue you that tradition, but with some changes. First off, the stages will no longer 2-D but 3-D, featuring photorealistic graphics and settings. The game will also have a new mode titled "Battle", where players can fight against other players around the world. But unlike previous games, players don't simply have to blow up their enemies to progress to the next stage, as players will have to wipe out other things, quite possibly some newly added objectives.

And like previous installments, Super Bomberman R will see the return of classic characters like the titular character's siblings and known enemies.

Super Bomberman R is set to be released some time in March of this year.
