Earlier this week we found out that the Nintendo Switch had already managed to outsell the Nintendo 64's lifetime sales; with an impressive 33.15 million Nintendo Switch consoles sold since its original launch in March of 2017.

The information didn't really come from Nintendo, but the numbers were somewhat accurate considering that the source had been tracking the console's sales over the aforementioned period of time.

Nintendo has finally revealed their official numbers via their website, and the Nintendo Switch has managed to sell 34.74 million units as of March 31st of this year; with over 187.52 million units sold in software for the console.

The company also revealed that Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is Nintendo's best-selling title on the Switch with 16.69 million units sold, closely followed by Super Mario Odyssey with 14.44 million copies sold, and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate gets the third place with a very impressive 13.81 million units sold; considering that Super Smash Bros. Ultimate just released back in December.

Nintendo has really played their cards accordingly when it comes to promoting the Nintendo Switch, which has obviously paid off. The way the console has performed in its two years since release definitely points to it becoming one of the best-selling consoles for Nintendo, so it'll be interesting to see how these sales numbers go up in the coming years.
