Rumours about a revised version of the Nintendo Switch have been doing the rounds for quite some time now. The first rumours claimed that Nintendo was working on a "Pro" and a "Mini" versions of the popular handheld hybrid; one of which ended up becoming the Nintendo Switch Lite.
Confirmation of a Nintendo Switch Pro, however, has not been given by Nintendo, although a bunch of rumours seem to suggest that this console is real — which isn't really surprising, considering that Nintendo always revises and releases upgraded versions of their popular consoles.
In the Nintendo Switch's particular case, rumours claim that this "Pro" version could be integrating a new screen ala the Nintendo DS/3DS, and this alone is actually an interesting concept to bring back when considering just how much it improves the video gamig experience.
The most recent bit of information to join the rumour mill, in regards to the alleged "Pro" version, claims that 4K will be supported by this new console, and that the console will also be including more computing power overall.
This information was first reported by Bloomberg's Takashi Mochizuki, and his sources are actually people who were briefed on Nintendo's strategy for this new console. Interestingly enough, sources also claim that a slew of games developed by Nintendo will come with the release of this enhanced version of the Switch.
In classic Nintendo fashion, this slew of games will cater to all kinds of demographics, so players should expect to see games that address both casual and hardcore players.
This would also explain this year's lack of first-party titles releasing on the Nintendo Switch, as reports have previously revealed, and now also reinformed by new claims, that the "Nintendo Switch Pro" could be releasing in Q1 of next year; meaning that Nintendo has shifted their focus to products that will be, allegedly, releasing next year.
