CNN Business reports that the Nintendo Switch was among the most sought after items during this year's Black Friday, and the reason may have to do with its competition being at the end of their respective lifespans.

According to Wedbush Securities analysts, Nintendo managed to make the Switch one of the most popular items sold on Black Friday by offering a bundle that included Mario Kart 8 Deluxe for $299; considering that Nintendo's racing is still a $60 USD title, it is a good offer.

The Nintendo Switch/Mario Kart 8 Deluxe bundle is, however, the same offer the company made last year for Black Friday; even so, the console outsold the competition during the beginning of the Christmas shopping season.

Now, analysts agree on the fact that the Nintendo Switch being the most popular video game console during this past Black Friday has to do more with the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One nearing the end of their lifespan, while Nintendo's handheld hybrid console has only been on the market for a a little under 3 years.

This information doesn't reveal if Nintendo Switch Lite consoles were also considered, or the exact number of consoles sold during Black Friday, but the fact that Nintendo is currently offering two different options to customers is likely going to make the Switch family of systems the best-selling console these holidays.
