While
Resident Evil 2: Remake won't be coming to Nintendo Switch anytime soon, it doesn't mean that Capcom has forgotten about Switch owners and is still planning to launch
Resident Evil 0, 1, and
4 for Nintendo’s hit system. Moreover, the Japanese game developer has officially announced that the games are coming to Nintendo Switch eShop on May 21, 2019, with pre-orders starting on Feb. 28th.
European Switch owners will be able to grab all three games as separate digital downloads through the Nintendo eShop, while North American Switch fans will have a chance to purchase
Resident Evil Origins Collection at retail, bundling together both
RE0 and
1. That edition launched for PC in January 2016, including 2015's
Resident Evil HD and 2016's
Resident Evil 0 HD, originally created for PS4 and XO.
As for the cult classic
Resident Evil 4, we're most definitely talking about
Resident Evil 4 Ultimate HD Edition that initially launched for PC on February 27, 2014 and was ported on PS4 and XO in 2016.
When it comes to the latest entry in the
Resident Evil series,
RE2: Remake, it has shipped over 3 million copies worldwide on PS4, XO, and PC in its first-week sales, performing better than
RE7: Biohazard.
Resident Evil 0 is a HD remaster of the classic survival horror title, featuring remastered visuals and sounds, options for new and classic controls, and the all new bonus Wesker mode for beating the game. Available now for download on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3! Also be sure to check out Resident Evil Origins Collection, a physical bundle of the remasters of Resident Evil 0 and Resident Evil, for PlayStation 4!
Resident Evil 0, 1, and 4 are coming to Nintendo Switch eShop on May 21, 2019.
