We have some great news for those who have been anticipating purchasing a Nintendo Switch but were waiting for a revision to release, as the new model of Nintendo's handheld hybrid console have now gone on sale in North America.

Players looking to purchase one of these revised versions should look for the all-red Nintendo Switch box instead of the traditional red and white box — which is the one that contains the original version of the Nintendo Switch.

Retailing for $299.99 USD, the revised version of the Nintendo Switch can be found on Amazon and Best Buy; offering players an improved battery life, as well as a slightly better and brighter screen.

Players who already own a Nintendo Switch, however, should probably skip the revised version until more dramatic improvements are made to the hardware. On the other hand, players looking for a budget version should probably wait for the Nintendo Switch Lite, which will also include a better battery and is likely to feature a better — albeit smaller — screen.

As a friendly reminder, pre-orders for the Nintendo Switch Lite are currently open, and the console is expected to hit store shelves on the 19th of September
