Pokémon Let's Go, Pikachu! and
Pokémon Let's Go Eevee! were released on the 16th of November and, to the surprise of many, it quickly became the best selling title, within its first week since release, on the Nintendo Switch; selling an impressive 3 million copies worldwide.
For Nintendo, the good news didn't stop there as
Pokémon Let's Go, Pikachu/Eevee! also became the fourth best-selling item during this past Black Friday, giving even more good press to the game that had some
Pokémon fans complaining about this game not being what they wanted—at least prior to the games' release.
The reason why
Pokémon Let's Go, Pikachu/Eevee! was being looked down on by some fans was because it's a game that catered more to casual players, especially because of how Nintendo kept promoting it almost as an add-on of sorts for
Pokémon GO, Niantic's mobile game based on the
Pokémon series; which is, quite frankly, an interesting and effective way to introduce casual players to the series.
The latest trailer for
Pokémon Let's Go, Pikachu! and
Pokémon Let's Go, Eevee! focuses on the Poké Ball Plus controller, as well as co-operative gameplay, and the games' compatibility with the
Pokémon GO mobile game—that allows players to transfer the
Pokémon they catch on-the-go to the Nintendo Switch.
