Rayman Raving Rabbids Review

Rayman Raving Rabbids Review

While this may be an older game for the Wii, it still deserves a second look. Especially if you're looking for an off-the-wall, goofy game, that's semi-addicting.

Rayman Raving Rabbids, at the time of this review, is a little over a year old. We actually hadn't seen it before, until we were at the video store recently.

After playing it a bit, and doing a little research, I discovered that there's actually a second game in the series for the Wii. With the fun that we had with Rayman Raving Rabbids, we can guarantee that we'll be trying out Rayman Raving Rabbids 2 VERY soon.

When it comes right down to it, Rayman Raving Rabbids is basically a collection of rather creative, and sometimes downright hysterical, mini-games.

By completing various stages/collections of mini-games, you can unlock various things in the game, which include things like new outfits, music to listen to while you're in your cell, etc.

The fun is really in the mini-games. You do everything from shooting Rabbids with toilet plungers, to filling up their snorkels with juice until they pass out, to even trying to see how far you can launch a Rabbid who's dressed up like Superman.

The only complaints I have with the game is that it's single-player only. Having to take turns on the mini-games so that everyone can play, can take the fun out of it.

From an adult's gaming perspective, the game is a lot of fun, and crazy enough that it can be a ton of fun. I did, however, find that after a few hours I was ready to put another game in.

From a child's gaming perspective, which is who this game is obviously targeted at, they couldn't put it down. My kids were playing and laughing for hours.

Everything in the game is OK, but the game play and replayability are where this game really shines.

Bottom line is this: if you're looking for a fun game that you can let your kids loose with, and that they'll have tons of fun playing, Rayman Raving Rabbids delivers.

If you're looking for a serious game with a deep story, character development, top-notch graphics and sound, then you'll probably want to pass.

Final verdict: 7/10
