SONIC THE HEDGEHOG And Friends Play Ouija, Making Allusion To A Long-Time Urban Legend

It's Halloween already, and the people over at Sega have shared a scary video to embrace the festivity's spirit, almost too literally, by playing Ouija and addressing a long-time urban legend.

Tonight is Halloween, and chances are that you are already getting ready to, well, probably stay at home because of the lockdowns. Regardless, it is that time of the year to still embrace the spirit of the festivity, and enjoy some scary games, movies, or TV shows at home.

The people over at Sega are also getting into the Halloween spirit, and they have shared a rather scary, albeit hilarious, sketch featuring characters from the Sonic the Hedgehog series, more specifically doll versions of the characters, who are playing Ouija and overall having fun asking questions that may or may not need answering.

Sega, and particularly the people behind the Sonic the Hedgehog social media, are pretty self-aware, and this Halloween video is actually addressing a long-time urban legend that involves Sonic's life-long friend Miles "Tails" Prower.

There are a few different takes on the Tails Doll urban legend, but they all involve Sega's racing game sonic Sonic R  — all of this back in the late '90s, by the way — which, upon 100% completion, would see a possessed doll of Miles "Tails" Prower eating, killing, or simply haunting whoever completed the game.

In the video Sega released today, Shadow the Hedgehog asks the Ouija board what's its name, and the board replies with Miles, which then leads to Tails' eyes turning red and him uttering the words "They warned you..." — which is when the video ends; it was the Tails Doll all long.
