Square Enix recently revealed that Crystal Dynamics' highly anticipated, and quite secretive,
Avengers Project — now officially titled
Marvel's Avengers — will finally be revealed during this year's E3, but it seems that some details have already begun coming out.
Apparently,
Marvel's Avengers will allow players to play the game in both single and cooperative modes. Not only is co-op mentioned, but the game will also allow for 4-player Co-op; giving players to actually assemble in teams in the most
Avengers fashion.
Marvel's Avengers will also feature fully customizable heroes in order to make them more suitable to each player's unique playstyle, which adds some pretty fitting role-playing elements to this action-adventure title; something that is almost expected from Square Enix.
We're only a few weeks away from this year's E3, and Square Enix has already stated that they will be releasing more information during the event, so it is safe to assume that this 4-player Co-op mode will be addressed. So far, things are starting to look up for Crystal Dynamics'
Marvel's Avengers.
Here's what the description on the official E3 Coliseum website has revealed about
Marvel's Avengers:
"Embrace your powers and join key members of the development team at Crystal Dynamics and the creative team at Marvel Games as they talk exclusively about the upcoming Marvel’s Avengers. This is the defining Avengers gaming experience: an epic action-adventure that combines cinematic storytelling with continuous single-player and co-operative gameplay. Moderated by Andrea Rene, assemble in teams up to four players, master extraordinary abilities, customize your heroes to fit your playstyle, and combine powers to defend an ever-expanding world under constant threat."
The Avengers project is being designed for gamers worldwide and will be packed with all the characters, environments, and iconic moments that have thrilled longtime fans of the franchise. Featuring a completely original story, it will introduce a universe gamers can play in for years to come.
Marvel's Avengers still doesn't have an official release date.
