Supermassive Games, the studio that gave us the PlayStation 4 exclusive
Until Dawn and is currently working on the first part of their original
 Dark Pictures Anthology, titled
Man of Medan, has filed a trademark for
House of Ashes. While we know next to nothing about this project, there's a rather big chance that it's the next chapter in the
Dark Pictures series, just like their mysterious
Shattered State.
According to Supermassive themselves, the studio will launch at least two new
Dark Pictures games a year, and each entry will feature a different cast of characters, stories and environments. The first one,
Man of Medan, will allow the player to embark on a dangerous journey in a stormy sea as they control a group of best friends that discover a World War II wreck that hides many bone-chilling secrets...
What's even more interesting, the studio has recently confirmed that they are working not only on
Man of Madan and its already planned sequels, but also yet unannounced PlayStation 5 exclusive.
Considering that Supermassive has rights to T
he Dark Pictures Anthology, Shattered State, and their most recent pickup,
House of Ashes, one of those titles might indeed be a proper next-gen project.
