UBISOFT Expands To Berlin With A New Studio Opening In Early 2018

In order to help with the development of Far Cry 5, Ubisoft has decided to open up a development studio in Berlin, Germany. It is planned to be in session by early 2018.

Ubisoft Entertainment has recently announced their upcoming game development studio in Berlin. The intent of this studio will be to assist the Montreal branch with the production of Far Cry 5, an open-world, first person shooter game. 50 people will be stationed at this studio, led by Blue Byte's former studio operations director, Istvan Tajnay. They will be reporting to Ubisoft Blue Byte on their progress, which is well known for working on the games Rainbow Six: Siege, For Honor, and an upcoming title by the name of Skull & Bones.

Earlier this year, Ubisoft Entertainment had opened up a studio in Stockholm, France in order to imrprove on the production of multiplatform AAA-titles. We will be seeing a lot more production and releases from Ubisoft very soon.



In this upcoming addition to the Far Cry series, the game will take place in modern-day Montana. As a deputy sheriff, players will find themselves involved in a predicament revolving around a violent cult group by the name of Eden's Gate. Far Cry 5 is expected to be released on February 27, 2018 for  PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
