Set for release on August 09, Hello Games' No Man's Sky has already gone Gold (thanks to pre-orders). The PC and PS4 space traveling, adventure game has passed certification for North America, Europe and Asia and is currently working towards certification in Japan.  The next step for Hello Games is working on the game's first update, which could be a Launch Day patch or actual game patch.

First announced back at the  VGX Video Game Awards in 2013, No Man's Sky has been a title on the radar of many Action-Adventure and RPG gamers.  With an in-game world consisting of 18 quintillion planets, and each planet "procedurally generated" it's exploration promises gameplay that theoretically, should never become repetitive.   With the actual storyline/plot of the game purposely wrapped in mystery, most players are straddling the line of being frustrated with the lack of details and wanting to jump in completely blind. Whether you're in one camp or the other, it's interesting to see how the discussion about the game has evolved in the last few years from "if you'll play" to "how you'll play."
