If you are over 30, you probably remember the moment when
Wolfenstein 3D defined the FPS subgenre. The id Software game proved that 3D games have a future and escaping from the Nazi German prison can be fun. While today's shooters are usually simplified to please more causal players, indie developers are here to help and remind you how fun "pure" FPS gameplay can actually be.
Suffer is one of those hardcore games that doesn't care about telling a coherent story or presenting realistic military simulations. Instead, Anarchy Softworks' big debut allows you to experience ridiculous action that involves ninja, gunfights, and timeless arcade gameplay. The game’s foundations are simple – you have to fight the corporate police state with nothing but your sharpened sword and bullets.
The ambitious indie production has been in development since 2014 and one-man Anarchy Softworks is almost ready to launch
Suffer. The FPS with hand-drawn 2D sprite graphics (and strong horror-punk themes, so better buckle up) will officially launch on the 11th of December, exclusively on Steam.
Suffer will also feature a hardcore punk & metal soundtrack, so be sure check it out down below:
SUFFER is a horror-punk shoot 'em up where you take on the corporate police state with nothing but your ninja sword and a hailstorm of bullets. Fast paced FPS action, wicked parkour platforming, and vicious demonic foes await you in this dystopian nightmare! This game is for those in need of a challenging first person experience, reminiscent of the tough-as-nails PC shooters of yesteryear.
Suffer releases on December 11, 2018, exclusively on Steam.
