Iconcoclasts has been in development for a LONG time. The game actually started out as
Ivory Springs some time in 2006/2007 before one-man developer Joakim Sandberg, a.k.a. “konjak” found critical and commercial success with the Steam release of
Noitu Love 2: Devolution in 2012. Over the years, Konjak has re-started and abandoned the project numerous times, providing tantalizing updates and gameplay trailers. A prototype was released in 2009, followed by an alpha-demo in 2012 and a 2015 character trailer. In the interim,
Noitu Love 2 and the release of
Legend of Princess on Steam saw konjak achieve a new level of fame, which led to the interest in
Iconoclasts rising accordingly.
Well, after such a long journey, there's finally an official release date - January 23.
Iconoclasts will be released on PC, PS Vita and PS4 on January 23. Check out the announcement trailer below. Is this an indie-game you'd be interested in picking up? Stay tuned to Gamefragger.com for follow up coverage as we march closer to the release.

Something big is going on, bigger than ivory shortages or the moon breaking apart – and Robin’s in the middle of it.
