With the holiday season upon us, many retailers and video game publishers are starting to announce their Black Friday discounts. Microsoft is the latest to unveil its holiday offerings, announcing discounts for its Xbox Series X|S consoles, thousands of games, and more.
For those in the market for a console, Microsoft is offering up to $50 off on its Xbox Series X and S consoles. From now through November 23rd, you can get the Xbox Series X - 1TB console for $449.99, $50 off its normal price. Beginning November 21st, you can save $50 on the 512GB all-digital Xbox Series S console, bringing the price down to $249.99.
Brick-and-mortar retailers haven't fully revealed their Black Friday deals yet, but you can probably expect similar discounts on Xbox consoles as well. We may even get some console with game bundles as well.
Speaking of games, there are thousands of them on sale right now. From today through December 2nd, you can save up to 55% on digital Xbox games and up to 60% on PC digital games.
Many of the year's biggest sports games — EA Sports FC 25 ($34.99), Madden NFL 25 ($34.99), NBA 2K25 ($31.49), and EA Sports College Football 25 ($41.99) — are anywhere between 40% and 50% off. You can even find slight discounts on some of this year's blockbusters, such as Star Wars Outlaws ($52.49), Senua's Saga: Hellblade II ($32.49), Diablo 4: Vessel of Hatred ($29.99) for Xbox.
On PC, games like Starfield ($41.99), Forza Motorsport Premium Edition ($49.99), Minecraft Dungeons Ultimate Edition, and more are on sale.
Again, the deals are good, but I'm not convinced this is the best we'll see this holiday season. We already know Star Wars Outlaws didn't meet Ubisoft's sales expectations this year, so I wouldn't be surprised to see larger discounts on the game at other retailers. Sometimes there are even buy one, get one 50% off deals, or buy two and get one free offerings.
If you're looking for another controller, from November 21st through December 2nd and from December 13th through December 22nd, you can save $10 off select Xbox Wireless Controllers. An assortment of styles is discounted, so you should be able to find a design and color palette you prefer.
You can view all of the Xbox and PC games discounted for Black Friday listed on the Xbox Wire website here. If you're looking for Nintendo Switch savings, Nintendo announced its Black Friday deals earlier this week. They will go live on November 24th and include discounts on numerous Switch games as well as some Switch consoles and bundles.
