Piranha Games' combat mech game
MechWarrior5: Mercenaries was announced for PC in 2016 with a glorious 7 minute trailer that had fans of the series very excited. Updates have been somewhat scarce since the announcement to the point some fans began to think that the project was cancelled.
The good news is that the project hasn't been cancelled and it will release, the bad news is that it has been officially delayed to 2019 as posted by the official Twitter account of Russ Bullock—president of Piranha Games. According to the tweet, Mr. Bullock mentions that the game is being pushed back to 2019 so that they can work on the game and offer the best Single-player experience possible.
MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries is the first single-player game they have developed since 2002 as the latest title in the series—
MechWarrior Online—focuses entirely on online multiplayer.
Bullock also mentions that they will not be making any new announcements regarding the game's official release date until, at least, this year's

1st of December, while also reassuring that fans will not be disappointed with the end result as they are doing their best to make

On the tweet comments fans have actually shown their full support and approve of the delay since they know it is in the game's best interests. In this day and age it is best that a game gets delayed rather than developers releasing unfinished products that eventually will force players to pay extra to unlock content so Piranha Games delaying
