The Funcom Group has reported financial results for the quarter ended March 31, 2018. The report gives us a better understanding of the future of Conan: Exiles and Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden, as well as the overall condition of the Norwegian video game developer that's specializing in online games such as The Secret World, Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures, and Anarchy Online.
The report has confirmed that Petroglyph Games is currently working on an RTS set in the brutal Conan universe. The latest game of the creators of Star Wars: Empire at War and Panzer General: Allied Assault is fully funded and probably published by Funcom. The game will launch on PC during the first half of 2019, as more information on the game will be made available closer to its planned launch.
In other news, Conan Exiles launched successfully on 8 May 2018 and has sold in total more than 1.4 million units, including retail sell-in and not excluding refunds, and it will soon be Funcom’s best-selling game to date, having already sold as many units as Age of Conan did in its first three years. Conan Exiles' first DLC pack will be released in June as new features and functionalities will be free for all.
Journey through a vast, seamless world filled with the ruins of ancient civilizations and uncover its dark history and buried secrets as you seek to conquer and dominate the exiled lands yourself. Start with nothing but your bare hands and forge the legacy of your clan, from simple tools and weapons to gigantic fortresses and entire cities.
