The Cycle - the latest project of developer Yager (Spec Ops: The Line) - focuses on solely on competitive multiplayer. Up to 20 players will land on the surface of the planet Fortuna III to create unexpected alliance, finish a variety of missions and share some lead with your opponents. The newly-announced title will also give you a chance to battle alien monsters and explore the colorful and dangerous land.
 
According to the former developer of Dead Island 2, the titular cycles are "world-spanning storms that kill anything dumb enough to set foot planetside and these storms are happening more often than not." As a mercenary, you will upgrade your weapons or buy some shiny gear using the cash earned during the playthrough. The Cycle will feature "a collection of gadgetry that’d make your jaw drop."
 
The Cycle's closed alpha will start in the next few weeks. The shooter will it be released initially only on PC, but Yager plans to bring the FPS to consoles at a later date. Take a look at the first trailer below:
