Last week, it was officially announced that Cloud Imperium Games'
Star Citizen is the most successful crowdfunding project ever that recently surpassed a whopping $200 million milestone contributed to by over 2.1 million backers, beating not only the biggest Hollywood movies production budgets, but also the biggest video games such as
Destiny, all
Battlefields, Watch_Dogs, and many, many more.
To celebrate the recent milestone, Chris Roberts' Cloud Imperium Games has launched a brand new
Star Citizen Update 3.3.5. that introduces players to the absolutely enormous,
Blade Runner-esque city of Lorville that is the main attraction on the new, fully-traversable planet Hurston, which even comes with four moons of its own: Arial, Aberdeen, Magda and Ita, all populated with a handful of outposts.
That's obviously not everything the update has to offer, as the new expansion also features seven new space stations and other smaller tweaks and upgrades. YouTuber BoredGame has already had a chance to check out
Star Citizen’s most recent build and you can watch his detailed, nearly 30 minutes long impressions down below, featuring an extended look at Hurston's impressive biomes and moons:
From the mind of Chris Roberts, acclaimed creator of Wing Commander and Freelancer, comes STAR CITIZEN. 100% crowd funded, Star Citizen aims to create a living, breathing science fiction universe with unparalleled immersion… and you’re invited to follow every step of development. More than a space combat sim, more than a first person shooter and more than an MMO: Star Citizen is the First Person Universe that will allow for unlimited gameplay.
Despite being announced six years ago, Star Citizen doesn't have a release date yet.
