Agony was a first-person survival developed at Madmind Studio, a relatively small team of only 9 talented programmers who previously worked on T
he Witcher III: Wild Hunt, Tom Clancy's The Division, Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2, and
Alien Rage, that launched in July. Despite its premise,
Agony was critically panned with a terrible 46% on Metacritic and it looks like the game's journey is not over yet.
Agony is a sickening title. It features naked demons, killed children, orgies, and everything you would expect from a game set in the hell titled
Agony. In April, the developer revealed that the censorship was required to ensure that the game would be released on the consoles, but the PC owners will have the option to completely remove it via a free patch. Ultimately, the plan has been scrapped.
It looks like Madmind has truly lost their minds and unofficially announced that the uncensored version of
Agony is coming. According to Steam,
Agony Unrated will launch at the end of the month, on the 31st of October, and you can add it to the wish list right now. The title's description warns you that
Agony Unrated features "
high impact horror themes, violence, sexualized violence, sex and nudity."
There's hope that Madmind have used the last couple of months to improve the overall
Agony experience. The basic game is an awful piece of code with broken controls and mechanics, and even the intriguing vision of the lowest circle of hell doesn't change the fact that
Agony is just not worth your time or money. Madmind should officially reveal the unrated version of
Agony later in the week.
Agony is a first-person survival horror game currently in development. Players will begin their journey as tormented soul within the depths of hell without any memories about his past. The special ability to control people on their path, and even possess simple minded demons, gives the player the necessary measures to survive in the extreme conditions they are in. By exploring hostile environment and interacting with the other weary souls of the hellscape, the hero will soon understand that there is only one way to escape from Hell, and it will require a meeting of the mystical Red Goddess.
Agony is available on PS4, PC and Xbox One NOW!
