Almost two years since its original announcements, we still know next to nothing about Death Stranding, maybe except the fact that the PlayStation 4 exclusive is being developed by Hideo Kojima's ;Kojima Productions and the creator of the Metal Gear series has managed to assemble an impressive cast, including Guillermo del Toro, Norman Reedus, Mads Mikkelsen, and possibly even Diane Kruger.

In an interview with GamesRadar, the star of Doctor Strange, Casino Royale, and Hannibal revealed that "The whole concept of playing the game, as I understand, needs collaboration from different people from different parts of the world, which is also another level of fantastic-ness." Mikkelsen also said that while he doesn’t know much about Stranding what little he has seen “is wonderful.

What is actually means and how Death Stranding will encourage players to cooperate is a mystery, but Kojima has talked about the core concept being "sticks and ropes". According to Sony, we’ll get an in-depth look at Kojima’s game at E3 2018 and the Japanese company’s presentation this year will feature “exclusive looks and deep dives” on four of its big titles, and Death Stranding is one of those.
