Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will be making its debut on October 25th for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. With the highly anticipated first-person shooter only a couple of days away from release, PlayStation has released an simplistic system theme to do with
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.
It's called
"Going Dark," in reference to the line spoken by Captain Price in the game's very first trailer — as well as presumably in the game itself. The theme features a fittingly dark aesthetic and eery silence. The icons appear the be the same as the standard look as well as the sounds made by scrolling through the home screen. All that's changed appears to be the dynamic background.
Currently, the system theme is available to download for the PlayStation 4 console from the PlayStation Store and it won't cost you a penny. You can check out an image of the system theme below — keep in mind that you don't get the full effect of the background as it isn't static like the below image. Head over to
its official PlayStation Store page by clicking here.
On October 25th, when the world is threatened, you’ll have to get your hands dirty so the world stays clean. In a desperate mission, Captain Price and the SAS will partner alongside the CIA and the Urzikstani Liberation Force to retrieve stolen chemical weapons. The heart-racing fight will take you from London to the Middle East and other global locations, as this joint task force battles to stop full-scale global war. Lines will be drawn, your resolve will be tested, and the world will look to you to do what needs to be done.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will be available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on October 25th, 2019.
