Media Molecule's next project, Dreams, is a PlayStation 4 exclusive that gives you a chance to create your own game. Yes, the next game of the developers responsible for Tearaway Unfolded and LittleBigPlanet pushes the boundaries letting you to decide what kind of game you will experience, but don't worry - Dreams will be kid-friendly and the offered tools are reportedly easy to learn.
The developer has revealed that Dreams will feature a story campaign and there will also be weekly community creative challenges to keep players engaged. Dreams’ full-fledged story campaign was built completely within the game itself, using the exact same tools players will have access to when Dreams finally launches. The game will also offer a special tutorial tht will help you fulfil your own ideas.
Apparently, you will be able to make games of pretty much any genre within Dreams, except for an MMO, but players won’t be able to make money from their creations. There's also worse news, as the online play will not be available on day one, and as of now, Media Molecule isn’t sure when it will be added. The studio is also aiming to let the players enjoy Dreams running at 60 FPS, but it can change.
Dreams is a space where you go to play and experience the dreams of Media Molecule and our community. It’s also a space in which to create your own dreams, whether they’re games, art, films, music or anything in-between and beyond.
Dreams will release in 2019 exclusively for the PlayStation 4.
