If you're one of the few, and this cannot be emphasised enough, that didn't get The Last of Us Part II spoiled by the massive leak from a couple of weeks ago, consider yourself lucky; at least you can still look forward to it, unlike everybody else who got spoiled.
Naughty Dog has already engaged their Damage Control mode, and have been releasing petty apologies, and story trailers that seem to be spoiling the game's story almost as much as the leak itself did — which is not a good sign, considering that some there are still players who don't know all of the details.
Needless to say, excitement for The Last of Us Part II is currently at an all-time low, but there is still hope. The game will, regardless of the story, more than likely a great game from a gameplay standpoint, and may even tell a great story that will be loved by fans.
Today PlayStation has released a behind the scenes video for The Last of Us Part II, which sees Director Neil Druckman and other Naughty Dog developers sharing more details about the game, and what makes this story unique and worth telling.
However, neither PlayStation nor Naughty Dog want your opinion about the latest video, since comments are turned off, and Likes/Dislikes have been disabled; they can still see the likes/dislikes, though.
Have a look:
Five years after their dangerous journey across the post-pandemic United States, Ellie and Joel have settled down in Jackson, Wyoming. Living amongst a thriving community of survivors has allowed them peace and stability, despite the constant threat of the infected and other, more desperate survivors. When a violent event disrupts that peace, Ellie embarks on a relentless journey to carry out justice and find closure. As she hunts those responsible one by one, she is confronted with the devastating physical and emotional repercussions of her actions.
The Last of Us Part II is expected to release exclusively for the PlayStation 4 on the 19th of June.
