The upcoming PlayStation 4 title
Days Gone has gone gold a while ago, meaning that Bend Studio's highly anticipated open-world project is ready for manufacturing ahead of its debut on April 26th.
Although
Days Gone was supposed to hit stores on February 22nd, that delay has hopefully allowed the studio to further polish the sandbox and make it another great PS4-exclusive video game.
Sony has released an all-new TV commercial for
Days Gone, putting the spotlight on Deacon St. John's struggle to survive in the zombified universe. To see the light of a new day, the hopeless bounty hunter will have to use a variety of weapons, including shotguns, sniper rifles, napalm, and Molotov cocktails.
Days Gone's story picks up several years after the fatal outbreak of a deadly virus has ravaged the US (and possibly the rest of the world), turning its citizens into deadly Freakers, feral animals that have needs, habits, and behaviors that Deacon must adjust to. While
Gone is technically set in the high-desert of the Pacific Northwest, it doesn't mean that the scenery will be monotonous, as rapidly changing weather conditions will definitely make your big journey more interesting, at least visually.
Be sure to take a closer look at
Days Gone in the game's latest cinematic TV spot down below:
At its core, Days Gone is about survivors and what makes them human: desperation, loss, madness, betrayal, friendship, brotherhood, regret, love—and hope. It's about how, even when confronted with such enormous tragedy, hope never dies. Play as Deacon St. John, a bounty hunter facing a brutal struggle for survival while searching for a reason to live.
Days Gone will be available for PlayStation 4 on April 26, 2019.
