In spite of the somewhat lukewarm reception that critics and players have given Bend Studio's recently released survival-horror game,
Days Gone, the game seems to be selling quite well; to the point that it's already been reaching quite a few milestones since it was released last month.
Just yesterday we found out that
Days Gone had already been able to stay in the Top 1 position for three weeks in a row in the United Kingdom — beating out NetherRealm Studios'
Mortal Kombat 11; which is quite the feat, considering that the
Mortal Kombat series has been around, and relevant, for over twenty years.
It seems as if the good news won't stop coming Bend Studio's way, as it's been recently revealed that
Days Gone, in Japan, has already surpassed lifetime sales for Santa Monica Studio's brilliant new
God of War — a game that was released in April of last year and has received several Game of the Year awards — in just two weeks since it was released.
When it comes to PlayStation 4 exclusive titles, Bend Studio's
Days Gone has also managed to surpass lifetime sales of Quantic Dream's
Detroit: Become Human and Team Ico's
The Last Guardian in Japan. Our hats are off to the people over at Bend Studio.
Set in the beautiful, volcanic scarred high-desert of the Pacific Northwest, Days Gone is an open-world action-adventure game where you play as Deacon St. John, a Drifter and bounty hunter who would rather risk the dangers of the broken road than live in one of the “safe” wilderness encampments.
Days Gone is currently available exclusively for the PlayStation 4.
