There's no denying that Capcom's
Devil May Cry V is a vastly successful production with some beautiful visuals, challenging combat, and likeable characters, but there's one aspect of the acclaimed game that deserves a closer look – the soundtrack. You probably remember
DMCV's reveal trailer that debuted during last year's E3 and its background music –
Devil Trigger – also known as Nero's battle theme.
In an interview with IGN, Composer Casey Edwards and Vocalist Ali Edwards had a chance to explain how
Devil Trigger came to be. Considering that the Nero theme already has more than 20 million repeat views on YouTube alone and was performed at The Game Awards 2018 by Ali and Cliff Lloret, the aforementioned interview definitely won't be the last time we've heard from the renowned duo.
As recently revealed by Capcom,
Devil May Cry V, which launched for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC just three weeks ago, has already shipped more than 2 million copies globally. Thanks to DMCV's initial sales, the games in this series have cumulatively sold more than 19 million units since the first title was released back in 2001. Be sure to learn more about the origins of
Devil Trigger down below:
A new demonic invasion has begun with the seeds of a demon tree being sown in Red Grave City. Now fully equipped with his trusty Red Queen and Blue Rose, and a new arsenal of rad robot hands thanks to his partner Nico, Nero must rise up to this new impossible task. With such insane amount of energy and destruction emanating from this surprise invasion, the stage is now set for the latest chapter of the “Sons of Sparda” saga.
