Devil May Cry 5 was one of the most eye-catching things at Microsoft’s media briefing at E3 2018, which was full of eye-catching things. Before Capcom's big reveal, the slasher had leaked several times and it looks like most of the unconfirmed information turned out to be true, as our main heroes Dante and Nero (who debuted in
DMC4) will return to run their demon-hunting business
Devil May Cry.
According to Famitsu,
DMC5's status is pretty advanced, as the development on the game is already at 75% done. The magazine also provides some additional story details, confirming that the villain will be the strongest Nero and Dante have ever faced (and that's saying something) and that dangerous events are occurring in the Demon World, and we should learn more about
DMC5 during this Gamescom.
Producer Kenji Okabe recently revealed that, just like in Ninja Theory's controversial take on the
DMC series and
Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, the
Devil May Cry 5 music will change depending on your style rank, and one of his examples applies to a chorus belting out for hitting a high style rank. Essentially, the melody will shift as you go up the stylish ranks from a low D, to C, B, A, S, SS to SSS.
A new demonic invasion has begun with the seeds of a demon tree being sown in Red Grave City. Now fully equipped with his trusty Red Queen and Blue Rose, and a new arsenal of rad robot hands thanks to his partner Nico, Nero must rise up to this new impossible task. With such insane amount of energy and destruction emanating from this surprise invasion, the stage is now set for the latest chapter of the “Sons of Sparda” saga.
Devil May Cry 5 is coming to Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC in Spring 2019!
