In the upcoming
Devil May Cry V, the player will have a chance to control not one, not two, but three different characters: the series' universally loved protagonist Dante, his young and impetuous business partner Nero, and debuting in the famous slasher franchise mysterious anti-hero known as V, who possesses the unique ability to summon at least three dangerous beast that help him in battles.
According to the latest trailer, the relationship between these three demon hunters will be an intense one, as the recently released video ends with V trying to kill... Dante! While it's hard to judge what's exactly going on between these two with no context, it looks like the old theory that “V” actually stands for “Vergil”, who’s Dante' villainous brother and Nero's possible father, may turn out to be true!
What's even more interesting, the players that have played the Xbox One demo of
Devil May Cry V may know that wounded Vergil shows up at the beginning of the game to cut off Nero's demonic arm and restore his energy by consuming it. Considering that Capcom released the spoiler-y trailer nearly three months before its official release may suggest that there's more to V's relationship with Dante that meets the eye. All secrets will be revealed on March 8, 2019, when
DMCV hits stores worldwide.
A new demonic invasion has begun with the seeds of a demon tree being sown in Red Grave City. Now fully equipped with his trusty Red Queen and Blue Rose, and a new arsenal of rad robot hands thanks to his partner Nico, Nero must rise up to this new impossible task. With such insane amount of energy and destruction emanating from this surprise invasion, the stage is now set for the latest chapter of the “Sons of Sparda” saga.
Devil May Cry V is coming to Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC March 8, 2019.
