According to Devil May Cry V Producer Matt Walker, the upcoming slasher title won't feature any DLC (including Capcom's infamous on-disc ones) , with the exception of the free Bloody Palace update.

Director Hideaki Itsuno recently revealed that the highly anticipated slasher game will be the longest entry in Capcom's long-running series, as internal playtests in the development team suggest that the title would be roughly 15 hours long. While it's definitely good news, some fans of the series were hoping that Capcom would bring new playable characters, modes, and content in a series of paid DLC.

Capcom may have no plans for Devil May Cry V's post-launch support, but the company is still going to launch the Bloody Palace game mode in a free update in April. As a reminder, Bloody Palace debuted in DMC2 and has been an important part of the series ever since, pitting the player character against groups of enemies and bosses, each on a lower floor, until they reach the end of the Palace.

In DMCV, you will have an opportunity to experience the gaudy game's bizarre storyline from the perspectives of three unique characters – the series' main protagonist Dante, his young and impetuous business partner Nero, and debuting in the famous slasher franchise mysterious anti-hero known as V.

A new demonic invasion has begun with the seeds of a demon tree being sown in Red Grave City. Now fully equipped with his trusty Red Queen and Blue Rose, and a new arsenal of rad robot hands thanks to his partner Nico, Nero must rise up to this new impossible task. With such insane amount of energy and destruction emanating from this surprise invasion, the stage is now set for the latest chapter of the “Sons of Sparda” saga.

Devil May Cry 5 is coming to Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC March 8, 2019.
