April 2026 is shaping up to be another solid month for Xbox Game Pass subscribers. Microsoft has revealed a varied selection of new games coming to the service, ranging from long-awaited sequels and major releases to creative indie titles and nostalgic throwbacks.

Here is the full list of confirmed additions so far for April 2026:

April 2

Barbie Horse Trails (PC, Console, Cloud – Ultimate, Premium, PC)
A lighthearted adventure where players ride horses through the countryside as Barbie, take photos, and hunt for hidden collectibles. It may end up being one of the most unexpectedly relaxing games on the service this month.
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 (PC, Console, Cloud – Premium)
One of 2025’s standout titles finally becomes more widely available on Game Pass. Previously limited to Ultimate and PC tiers, this turn-based RPG is now accessible to Premium subscribers as well.

April 3

NBA 2K26 (PC, Console, Cloud – Ultimate, Premium, PC)
The latest entry in the long-running basketball series arrives with its signature MyCAREER story mode, MyTEAM building, and The City exploration. It remains one of the most complete sports experiences available.

April 7

Final Fantasy IV (PC, Console, Cloud – Ultimate, Premium, PC)
The classic SNES RPG makes its way to Game Pass. Widely regarded as one of the strongest entries in the series before Final Fantasy VII, it offers a perfect opportunity for both longtime fans and retro newcomers to experience its timeless story and gameplay.

April 14

Hades II (PC, Console, Cloud – Ultimate, Premium, PC)
The biggest addition of the month. The highly anticipated sequel to the critically acclaimed roguelike brings improved visuals, deeper gameplay systems, better inventory management, and an expanded narrative. Many consider this the must-play title for April.
Replaced (PC, Console, Cloud – Ultimate, PC)
After a long wait, this cyberpunk-inspired action platformer finally arrives. Featuring beautiful sprite art, fluid combat reminiscent of the Batman: Arkham series, and a Blade Runner-style story set in a dystopian future, it should appeal to fans of atmospheric sci-fi adventures.

April 21

Vampire Crawlers (PC, Console, Cloud – Ultimate, PC)
From the creators of the 2022 hit Vampire Survivors comes a fresh blend of the auto-shooter formula with turn-based deckbuilding mechanics. It could become one of the year’s surprise indie successes.

April 23

Kiln (PC, Console, Cloud – Ultimate, PC)
Developed by Double Fine Productions, this online multiplayer party brawler puts a unique twist on the genre. Players battle on high-speed pottery wheels in chaotic matches that mix elements of Fall Guys and Gang Beasts.

April 28

Aphelion (PC, Console, Cloud – Ultimate, PC)
The next narrative-driven game from Don’t Nod (creators of Life is Strange). Players take on the role of Ariane as she attempts to rescue her partner on a frozen planet while facing pursuit and reality-bending events.

April 30

Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era (PC – Ultimate, PC)
The long-awaited return of the classic strategy series launches into Early Access. It combines empire building, turn-based tactical battles, and RPG elements across both hand-crafted and procedurally generated maps.

Xbox Game Pass continues to deliver excellent value with this mix of blockbuster releases, beloved classics, and promising new titles. The addition of Hades II alone makes April a standout month, while the variety ensures there is something for almost every type of player.

As always, more games may be announced throughout the month. So stay tuned for more updates as they come.
