April 2026 is shaping up to be another solid month for Xbox Game Pass subscribers. Microsoft has revealed a varied selection of new games coming to the service, ranging from long-awaited sequels and major releases to creative indie titles and nostalgic throwbacks.

Barbie Horse Trails (PC, Console, Cloud – Ultimate, Premium, PC)
A lighthearted adventure where players ride horses through the countryside as Barbie, take photos, and hunt for hidden collectibles. It may end up being one of the most unexpectedly relaxing games on the service this month.
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 (PC, Console, Cloud – Premium)
One of 2025’s standout titles finally becomes more widely available on Game Pass. Previously limited to Ultimate and PC tiers, this turn-based RPG is now accessible to Premium subscribers as well.

NBA 2K26 (PC, Console, Cloud – Ultimate, Premium, PC)
The latest entry in the long-running basketball series arrives with its signature MyCAREER story mode, MyTEAM building, and The City exploration. It remains one of the most complete sports experiences available.

From the creators of the 2022 hit Vampire Survivors comes a fresh blend of the auto-shooter formula with turn-based deckbuilding mechanics. It could become one of the year’s surprise indie successes.

Kiln (PC, Console, Cloud – Ultimate, PC)
Developed by Double Fine Productions, this online multiplayer party brawler puts a unique twist on the genre. Players battle on high-speed pottery wheels in chaotic matches that mix elements of Fall Guys and Gang Beasts.

Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era (PC – Ultimate, PC)
The long-awaited return of the classic strategy series launches into Early Access. It combines empire building, turn-based tactical battles, and RPG elements across both hand-crafted and procedurally generated maps.
Xbox Game Pass continues to deliver excellent value with this mix of blockbuster releases, beloved classics, and promising new titles. The addition of Hades II alone makes April a standout month, while the variety ensures there is something for almost every type of player.
