Just this Monday, Square Enix gave players the fantastic news that a playable demo of the long-awaited Final Fantasy VII Remake had already become available on the PlayStation Store; for players to finally give this highly anticipated role-playing game a try.
By now, pretty much everyone who's been closely following the development of this game has already had their chance to play the Final Fantasy VII Remake demo; it is those same players who will be able to tell you just how much of a great job Square Enix has done with this remake.
The demo actually covers the intro stage of the original game, where players are introduced to some of the main characters in the original Final Fantasy VII, and where they will also get the chance to test the new combat mechanics this remake is introducing.
For those who still haven't had the chance to play the Final Fantasy VII Remake demo, for whatever reason, we now have over 40 minutes of gameplay thanks to the PlayStation Underground crew — who are joined by people from Square Enix, and play through the first minutes of the demo while also revealing some interesting details about the game's development.
Check it out:
In Midgar, a city controlled by the mega-conglomerate Shinra Inc., the No. 1 Mako Reactor has been blown up by a rebel group, AVALANCHE. AVALANCHE was secretly formed to wage a rebellion against Shinra Inc., an organisation which is absorbing Mako energy, destroying the natural resources of the planet. Cloud, a former member of Shinra's elite combat force, SOLDIER, was involved with the bombing of the Mako Reactor. Can Cloud and AVALANCHE protect the planet from the huge, formidable enemy, Shinra Inc.?
Final Fantasy VII Remake will become available for the PlayStation 4 on the 10th of April.
