Final Fantasy VII is considered by many to be the most memorable game in the franchise, and with good reason. The game was the first in the series to incorporate animated cutscenes, as well as being the first to be programmed in 3D—thing that was definitely an eye-catcher at the time.
During the E3 in 2015 Square Enix officially announced that a
Final Fntasy VII Remake was being developed exclusively for the PlayStation 4 and they even showed some of its gameplay. The game was being made from the ground up that upgraded the visuals and even the game's combat mechanics as it no longer seems to feature random encounters. All of these news had fans very excited about this
Final Fantasy VII remake, but the problem is that it's been 3 years and little to no information is known about the project. The last news we got about the remake was that
Nobuo Uematsu was joining the project, which is definitely good news but some may still deem that as "not enough".
While this isn't quite the official news fans have been waiting for, we got a very small glimpse at the
Final Fantasy VII Remake via an image posted on the Japanese
Square Enix recruitment page, as reported by
DualShockers, via a post by
Twitter user DKHF.The image was spotted at the recruitment page of Square Enix where we see the project's Development Leader Naoki Hamaguchi next to a computer screen that shows what looks to be an in-game fight with an Air Buster.
This may not be much but at least it's reassuring to know that the project is in no way cancelled and, hopefully, we may even be able to get some announcements on
Square Enix's special video presentation during this year's E3.
In Midgar, a city controlled by the mega-conglomerate Shinra Inc., the No. 1 Mako Reactor has been blown up by a rebel group, AVALANCHE. AVALANCHE was secretly formed to wage a rebellion against Shinra Inc., an organisation which is absorbing Mako energy, destroying the natural resources of the planet. Cloud, a former member of Shinra's elite combat force, SOLDIER, was involved with the bombing of the Mako Reactor. Can Cloud and AVALANCHE protect the planet from the huge, formidable enemy, Shinra Inc.?
Final Fantasy 7 Remake still hasn't been given a release date but will be available for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One someday.
