Platformers from first party developers on PlayStation consoles have been a rarity for quite a while now, which is one of the many reasons why Sackboy: A Big Adventure is such a nice change of pace; making it quite an interesting pickup for those who enjoy a good platformer.
Sackboy: A Big Adventure was revealed in June as a PlayStation 5 title, although Sony and developer Sumo Digital have already confirmed that the upcoming platform is also releasing on the PlayStation 4; not to mention the game is becoming available on the same day Sony's next-gen console hits store shelves.
Although it may be obvious for some, Sackboy: A Big Adventure is a Little Big Planet series' spin-off title; as such, it features the same, charming craft aesthetic as the one seen in both previous entries, except this time the game won't feature the series' staple Create Mode, as its main focus is on platforming.
The developers at Sumo Digital have also revealed some interesting details about the Deluxe and Special editions of Sackboy: A Big Adventure, for those who may still be undecided on which version is the right one for them.
Today PlayStation has shared a new gameplay trailer for Sackboy: A Big Adventure, which gives players some details about the game's story, gives us a look at some of the main antagonists, and also does a phenomenal job showing off its beautifully realised, and charming crafted world.
