Project JUDGE is the working title for Yakuza Studio(Ryu Ga Gotoku) and Sega's newest intelectual property, which is set to be released in 2019 for the PlayStation 4.
After the studio released
Yakuza 6: The Song of Life, bringing the
Yakuza series to an end, we found out that they were already working on a completely new series and today we finally got our first look at
Project JUDGE—which looks just like the kind of quality game we have come to expect from Yakuza Studio.
Project JUDGE is described by the developer as a courtroom thriller that will see players taking control of Takayuki Yagami, a retired lawyer who can't escape his past when a series of gruesome murders pull him back in. The game's main character will be voiced by Japanese actor and singer Takuya Kimura.
Today, Sega has released two trailers for
Project JUDGE; one which introduces us to the game's main characters, and the main plot, and one trailer that is all about gameplay—which is likely to get fans of the
Yakuza series pretty excited.
