The Last of Us Part II has been one of the most talked-about games during this current generation of consoles, which is something that is to be expected from the sequel to one of the most talked-about titles from the previous generation.
In recent times, however, most people have associated The Last of Us Part II, but more in particular developer Naughty Dog, with frustration and disappointment over the infamous leaks that gave away key plot points that has, according to many fans of the series, ruined what the first game had managed to establish: its characters.
While it is true that there are quite a bunch of players who are disappointed in what they saw from the leak, there are other players who are still looking forward to Naughty Dog's highly anticipated sequel to The Last of Us; and for good reason, since everything Naughty Dog has showed looks pretty great.
In an interesting turn of events, IGN Brazil has recently reported that The Last of Us Part II has already managed to surpass Santa Monica Studio's critically acclaimed God of War as the most pre-ordered game ever in Brazil. Shout outs to DualShockers for pointing us in the right direction.
As reported by IGN, this is actually official information that comes from PlayStation, although the link redirects us to a previous article that doesn't really mention anything about The Last of Us Part II, God of War, or pre-order sales in Brazil, so we don't know exactly how many units have been pre-ordered.
It will also be interesting to see if pre-orders for The Last of Us Part II reflect in any way those seen in Brazil, and how they compare to pre-orders for other PlayStation exclusive titles like Santa Monica's God of War. We'll just have to wait for Sony to officially reveal this information.
