Yakuza Kiwami 2 is a remake of the 2006 title
Yakuza 2 developed by Ryu Ga Gotokou—also known as Team Yakuza— and published by Sega, coming exclusively for the PlayStation 4 on the
28th of August.
Being a proper remake of the originl game,
Yakuza Kiwami 2 will keep some of the assets found in
Yakuza 2 while also adding new things that will make the experience even better, just like
Yakuza Kiwami did for the original
Yakuza title. All of this built on the
Yakuza 6 Dragon engine, which gives
Yakuza Kiwami 2 a modern look in terms of visuals, looking better than ever.
Although
Yakuza Kiwami 2 has already been released in Japan last December, localisation for the title has taken a little bit longer but the game is almost here and today we are getting a brand new story trailer to get fans even more excited for the game's release. In the trailer we see Kiryu confronting the Dragon of Kansai, Goda Ryuji, as both Yakuza clans are on the brink of war.
Check it out:
It's been a full year since Kazuma Kiryu took his leave from the world of the yakuza during the events of Yakuza Kiwami. Fate, however, has other things in mind for the legendary Dragon of Dojima, and Kiryu finds himself back on the front lines of a potential all-out war.
Yakuza Kiwami 2 will be available for the PlayStation 4 on the 28th of August.
