Bushiroad put dates on the reprint. Extra Dawn of Palpagos 1st Edition stock ships in September. A 2nd Edition of the same set follows in late October. Every 2nd Edition card gets a Roman numeral II next to the copyright in the bottom-right corner. That is the whole visual change. The misspelling of Palworld in the fine print on some 1st Edition boxes is expected to get cleaned up on the new print.
The Palworld Official Card Game launched late July with Dawn of Palpagos, more than 100 unique cards, and two trial decks. Official English sale date for the booster was July 30. The game is hobby-shop only. Walmart and Target are not in the channel. Local stores sold out fast. eBay boxes landed around $175, close to triple list. Some singles sold for thousands. Bushiroad already apologized for the shortage in August and promised more product. September 4’s post is the schedule behind that promise.
2nd Edition is a reprint, not a new checklist. Collectors who care about first-print corners will keep hunting the unmarked 1st wave. Players who just want Lamballs and Chillets get a late-October box that plays the same. That split is why Bushiroad called the October run a second edition instead of a silent restock.
What else is on the calendar
Sleeve and Card Set Vol. 1 slipped two weeks to October 16. It has Pal Sphere sleeves and a promo from a short list that includes Cattiva, Depresso, and Chillet. Legends Awaken, the first real expansion after launch, is dated October 30. ICv2 has it at 100 card types plus parallels, packs of seven, 12 packs to a box, colors red, blue, green, purple, plus colorless. New Pals on that list include Chillet Ignis and Jetragon, plus a card for antagonist Saya Kurosaki and her Pal Selyne. Trial decks Eternal Ascent (Red/Green and Blue/Purple) already have preorders from an August 19 post.
Bushiroad said the TCG had hit 3.5 million packs worldwide by July 9, before the English street date even landed. That number is why shops could not keep Dawn of Palpagos on the wall. Pocketpair’s shooter-survival monster game is the license. The card game is Bushiroad’s attempt to turn that audience into weekly booster buyers the way it did with other anime and game properties.
A reprint with a II in the corner will not crash every $175 listing overnight. First-print premium usually survives a second wave. It should kill the "there are no boxes anywhere" problem if stores actually receive the September 1st Edition top-up and the October 2nd Edition in volume. Hobby exclusive distribution still means you talk to a local shop or the store locator on the official site, not a big-box endcap.
No statement that rarities change in 2nd Edition. No new chase list for Dawn of Palpagos. No confirmed list price in the latest reprint note, only the $175 secondary figure. If you bought a first box at MSRP, you already have the cards. If you refuse to pay triple, late October is the printed answer.
Legends Awaken is arriving the same month as 2nd Edition Dawn is the other pressure valve. New Pals give sealed product a second reason that people will stand in line for. Dawn reprints give the base set a second chance to exist on tables instead of in flipper inventory.
