Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is announced as an Xbox console exclusive (it's also coming to PC), but it may not be that way for long. According to a new report, the upcoming action-adventure game from Bethesda's MachineGames will be coming to PlayStation 5.

Neither Microsoft nor Sony have announced anything official, but YouTuber NateTheHate (via GameSpot) reports that Indiana Jones and the Great Circle will be coming to PlayStation during the first half of 2025. Indiana Jones and the Great Circle doesn't have an official release date yet, but it is expected to arrive on Xbox and PC during Holiday 2024, meaning it would be a timed exclusive for a couple of months.

Insider Gaming Tom Henderson — a reputable gaming insider — corroborated the report, stating that "some outlets have been given the heads up on the news and have signed NDAs." There's speculation that there could be an announcement at Gamescom Opening Night Live tomorrow.

Xbox is expected to have a large presence at the German gaming convention with Indiana Jones and the Great Circle having been confirmed to appear during the event. Gamescom Opening Night Live 2024 airs on August 20 at 11:00 a.m. PT / 2:00 p.m. ET from Cologne, Germany.

This isn't the first we've heard about Indiana Jones and the Great Circle possibly coming to PlayStation. Back in February, The Verge's Tom Warren — another reputable gaming insider — stated that Bethesda was "considering" bringing the game to PlayStation 5.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is being developed by MachineGames, which is owned by Microsft after the acquisition of the studio's parent company Bethesda. As such, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is technically under the Xbox first-party banner, which may seem odd that it could come to PlayStation.

However, in recent months, Microsoft has not only expressed a willingness to bring its games to other consoles but even released some on PlayStation already. So far, Pentiment, Grounded, Hi-Fi Rush, and Sea of Thieves — all formerly Xbox exclusives — have made the jump to PlayStation.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle would be the biggest Xbox title released on PlayStation to date, although there are rumors that Bethesda's sci-fi RPG Starfield could also come to PlayStation.

Uncover one of history’s greatest mysteries in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle™, a first-person, single-player adventure set between the events of Raiders of the Lost Ark™ and The Last Crusade™. The year is 1937, sinister forces are scouring the globe for the secret to an ancient power connected to the Great Circle, and only one person can stop them - Indiana Jones™. You’ll become the legendary archaeologist in this cinematic action-adventure game from MachineGames, the award-winning studio behind the recent Wolfenstein series, and executive produced by Hall of Fame game designer Todd Howard.
