Following many reports and rumours, Sony recently confirmed that they won't be bringing PlayStation to E3 2020 —
more on that here.
However, Microsoft has now confirmed that Xbox will indeed be attending the annual gaming convention. Xbox head Phil Spencer said the following in a tweet (via
@XboxP3) after Sony's announcement made waves.
"Our team is hard at work on E3," read Spencer's tweet which you can check out below.
"We look forward to sharing with all who love to play what's ahead for us. Our artform has consistently been propelled by the cross-section of creativity and technical progress. 2020 is a milestone year in that journey for Team Xbox."
Though the other major attendees of E3 haven't outright declared that they will feature at the upcoming event; it's pretty safe to assume that Xbox will be joined by Nintendo, Ubisoft, and Bethesda.
Electronic Arts is the most uncertain given that they sat out of E3 last year and instaed opted to present EA Play alongside the gaming event. If anymore major companies drop out of E3 2020; we'll be sure to keep you updated.
